The Riches of Adam Kovic

How rich is Adam Kovic? As of early-2019, sources estimate a net worth that is over $7 million, earned largely through a successful career on YouTube. His online fame has gained him numerous opportunities, including work as a gaming journalist, actor, and voice actor. As he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Very little is known about Adam’s early life, including details about his family and childhood. Even information about his educational achievements are not known. However, he grew up in California and after completing his education, began working at the now defunct television channel G4, which was created to focus on video games before transitioning to include other entertainment related content.

He worked there as a talent booking assistant, and was able to gain some income before he was released from his position. He then began working as a part of the company Machinima which is responsible for the similarly titled YouTube channel which was one of the oldest before it ceased operations. The company’s name is based on the word machinima, meaning to manipulate video game technology to create animation. The company was started in 2000 and began as a website before focusing their attention on YouTube.

Machinima and Inside Gaming

The original goal of the company was to promote the use of the machinima art form, using video games such as the first person shooter “Quake”. Eventually, their YouTube channel took a turn towards promoting entertainment programming, focused on fandom, comic books, and video game culture. Kovic became a part of the main editorial program of Machinima called “Inside Gaming” as a host and producer, and covered gaming news, reviews, previous, and the like. He was known by his alias The Dead Pixel, and the program itself is a successor to the discontinued “Inside Halo” which eventually lost traction as there was no longer any relevant news on the “Halo” video game series.

He served with Machinima for the next eight years, and was responsible for creating the annual Inside Gaming Awards held in Los Angeles. Things were going well until 2015, when several of Machinima’s employees including him decided to leave the company to start their own group. This also came in lieu of problems the company was having leading to budget cuts in many of their departments. Kovic and his group would create Funhaus, which would become a subsidiary of Rooster Teeth Productions.

Rooster Teeth and Funhause

Rooster Teeth is an entertainment and media company which initially earned popularity through its production of the series “Red vs. Blue”, which is the longest-running web series of all time. The company later branched out to comedy shows, live action shorts, Let’s Play videos, and animated productions. They did reality programs, entertainment news, and video game development, expanding their reach and becoming a fully-fledged media company. The videos are regularly released on their YouTube channel, though a lot of their content can now be found on their own website.

Adam became a part of Funhaus, which is a subsidiary channel similar to Screwattack and Achievement Hunter. Former “Inside Gaming” cast members are joined by other talents to produce gameplay videos, and the channel has been responsible for several original shows, including “Demo Disk”, “Wheelhaus”, “Open Haus” and the now defunct “Sex Swing: The Animated Series”. He’s continued to serve as a member of the channel even after the departure of two of their talents. He is the creative director of Funhaus, and has done acting and voice acting, as well as hosting the show. He also does live streaming, and is one of the main persons responsible for the channel’s video content.

Personal Life and Social Media

For his personal life, it is known that Kovic has been married to Jessica “Jess” Auten since 2012; the ceremony was held in North Hollywood, California. She is known to be of Hispanic descent; the two reside in Los Angeles, and there are no reports of them having any children. He has a bracelet tattoo on his left arm, which is a reference to the fictional organization NERV in the popular “Neon Evangelion” franchise. His tattoo reads, “God’s in his heaven, all is right with the world”.

Similar to numerous YouTube personalities, he is highly active online through accounts on social media websites – on Twitter he has over 340,000 followers, and mainly posts a lot of comedic content while also promoting his work at Funhaus. He also does previews and promotions of upcoming projects. He has an Instagram account with almost 200,000 followers, on which he gives a bit of insight into his personal life.
